What’s new with the you?
I just traded in my car for a Ford transit van, moved into a new house in Ardmore, and writing new songs for the next record!
What are three things you can’t live without?
Breakfast food, companionship, the “Notes” app in my phone
What is something you hate, but you wished you loved and why?
Skiing. Being stuck on two sticks on the top of a mountain is not ideal for me because I’m not very graceful to begin with. I either fall the whole way down or take my skis off and walk to the bottom. I’m just bad at it, I get hot and frustrated in ski clothes and end up drinking at the bottom of the mountain every time, so why not start there?
What did you dream about last night?
Rescuing myself and my dogs from zombies.

Coming together nicely, slowly but surely.

Dixie Chicks. Kelly Willis. Loretta Lynn. Brandi Carlile. Miranda Lambert.
Who are you most excited to see at MusicFest this year?
Lee Ann Womack – so I can scream I HOPE YOU DAAANCE in the crowd probably with Courtney Patton

Bloom where you’re planted.

What’s your spirit animal and why?
Donkey. They work really hard and can carry a heavy load. They can also be very stubborn. (I googled this)
What would you do if you had a working time machine?
A lot of good things have happened to me because of very specific timing and I wouldn’t want to screw any of it up. So, I probably wouldn’t touch it.

Large queso, please.

What is something you do before taking the stage?
Re-apply my lipstick, say a little prayer, make sure my fly is up.

What part of MusicFest are you most looking forward to?
Drinking at the bottom of the mountain. Late night songwriter circles. Dancing and listening to my friends and favorite bands. Counting all the lumberjack beards.
