When The Trishas became a band in 2009, they were four independent artists coming together to form something else entirely. Their inaugural performance took place at The MusicFest, where the group came together to honor Savannah’s father, Kevin Welch at that year’s MusicFest Artists’ Tribute to a Legend concert. Kevin’s “Till I’m Too Old to Die Young” was the song that brought them together, coincidentally starting the band’s career. Two years, an EP, and one publishing deal later, there were enough “Trisha” songs to make their 2013 full-length debut High, Wide & Handsome, produced by Mike Poole. There were so many songs they loved that the album contains fourteen tracks, plus a “bonus” duet with Raul Malo of The Mavericks fame. With four babies and many miles between them, The Trishas now only get together for an occasional tour or special event. The MusicFest is one of those special occasions, so expect to see a rare and one-of-a-kind performance by these incredible ladies.
