Q: Who are you and where are you from?
A: My name is Shane Smith, and I am originally from Terrell, Tx

Q: Is your band really a group of “saints”?
A: Absolutely not!

Q: You recently performed a show in Malaysia; how was that experience?
A: Playing that festival was probably one of the coolest things we’ve done as a band. Everything about it was different, but we had such a good time.

Q: What is your favorite thing about what you do?
A: My favorite thing about all of this is probably the ability to meet so many different people from all around the world, and having the ability to catch back up with so many people through touring. It gives you a big perspective on things when you maintain that many relationships from so many different places.

Q: What song do you refuse to skip on your playlist?
A: Anything by Townes Van Zandt or The Band

Q: What is your favorite three-word sentence?
A: Alright, Alright, Alright.

Q: What story will you never be able to live down?
A: Getting our Van and Trailer towed in downtown New York City.

Q: If you knew you only had one week to live, what would you do?
A: Probably have a huge party with all of the friends and family I’ve made over the years through doing this….and maybe go skydiving. Then hit up a Luby’s on day seven.

Q: Who are you most excited to see at MusicFest this year?
A: Charley Crockett & Shinyribs.

Q: What is your spirit animal and why?
A: A Labrador; I get along pretty good with most people.

Q: What is your go-to fast food restaurant while on the road?
A: Jimmy John’s. It’s not exactly fast food…but it’s crazy fast.

Q: What is one thing the band must travel with, that most people would never guess?
A: An app called Fun-Run. We pretty much race each other constantly throughout the day.

Q: Fill in the blank. It’s not a party until…
A: Mike Harmier stumbles in…….

Q: If a movie were made about your life, what celebrity would you want to play you?
A: Denzel Washington

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Steamboat at the MusicFest?
A: Watching Gary P get behind the piano in the Grand Lobby at about 1:30am.
